Shadow in the Sea

Readers will return to Windwaithe Island once again. When sixteen-year-old Sadelyn Hanson washes up on the shores of Windwaithe Island, her beauty and the strange marks on her wrist make superstitious locals suspect she is a mermaid. Feigning amnesia, Sade hides a far worse secret: she was sailing to her own murder trial when she was thrown overboard by the real killer, the cunning and cruel Captain Westwood.

Sade's quiet effort to rebuild her life on the island is threatened when she meets an actual young merman. Unable to speak his language, Sade still longs for the warm companionship he offers, despite the locals' dire legends about merfolk and their dark magic. But her confused feelings for the impossible boy become the least of her problems when Captain Westwood's ship docks at Windwaithe. With nowhere to escape, Sade must trust in the one person who doesn't fear the merfolk. A woman who had dealings with them herself—years ago

What are YOU Reading?

Okay, just for the fun of it I want to know what everyone out there in cyberspace is currently reading right now. I also want to know if it that book is good so far--or not so much. I just finished The Midnight Tunnel: A Suzanna Snow Mystery by Angie Frazier. It was a fun, light read--just what I was in the mood for. I loved the characters and am now excited to read the sequel when it comes out. Now it's your turn. What are YOU reading?

Right now, I'm halfway through about 12 books.

Yes, this is a chronic problem of mine.

But some of them are From the Earth to the Moon, Rifles for Watie, Ella Enchanted, Dragons of Darkness, Guards Guards, The Collected Sherlock Holmes, The Mysterious Island, The Silmarilion, The Blade of Shattered Hope...

Uh, ok, so it's probably way more than 12. O:)

Hah! I'm always in the middle of at least five books: I'm a bibliophile (or, according to my Mom, a nerdy bookworm).

Right now I'm reading the unabridged Les Miserables, The Beyonders, Wait Till Helen Comes, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Neverwhere (again), and Fablehaven 3. I am currently liking absolutely all of them.

The sequel is written and turned in for consideration. It will be a while before I hear back from the publisher on whether or not they are going to publish it, though. Last time it took two YEARS for them to get back to me! Cross your fingers that it won't take that long this time.

I'm reading a few books at the moment. I just finished a book called Switch. It was a well-written with strong characters. I'm also reading a real life murder mystery book called Hekter Skelter. It's so suspenseful!
