Okay, all you readers out there. Today I want to know which book you have read and re-read the very most in your lifetime? Which book do you find yourself returning to when you have a few moments to spare--or better yet--when you don't have time, but you read it anyway? Which books do you mark your favorite passages in? Which novel do you have memorized so well, you know exactly which page to turn to so you can read a favorite part again and again? I think the story I've re-read the most is the Emily of New Moon Series. I loved that series as a child. Much more than I loved Anne of Green Gables by the same author. I liked Anne a lot, but I loved Emily more. A close second would probably be Beauty by Robin McKinley.

Readers will return to Windwaithe Island once again. When sixteen-year-old Sadelyn Hanson washes up on the shores of Windwaithe Island, her beauty and the strange marks on her wrist make superstitious locals suspect she is a mermaid. I loved Beauty! I also read A Summer to Die about a million times too.
My top two would be "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones and "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodson Burnett--Shannon Hale's "The Goose Girl" coming in a close third. All of those I've read...too many times to count. More than ten. :) I'll let slip references every once in a while--it makes me sad when nobody gets them. (Mrs. Longnose! The robin! C'mon, people, this is classic...)
My most favorite book is Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" but I only just discovered that one in December and have read it twice and will keep re-reading it for all of forever. But for most read one from my childhood...probably Where the Red Fern Grows or the Wayside School books by Louis Sachar.
His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman and anything written by Jane Yolen. :)
I love forbidden sea. I read it just becaues it make me fell good and well i love the story!
I;ve onlt read the first two of the three in the Sevenwaters trilogy and only brrowed them from the library but if I owned them they would be the ones I would re-read all the time. ok the book I read The Lost Hero the most.
Obviously, I need to get reading some of the great books mentioned here! :)
I loved Beauty too, I've reread Mckinley plenty of times. I think I've reread Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith an embarassing number of times, my copy is falling apart, I read it first when I was 13 I think. It's like comfort food for the mind.

I can pick up a Harry Potter book any time and read any number of pages...I love them! Also, I will re-read Ella Enchanted every once in a while as well as Gone With the Wind :)
I am not quite to the point of re-reading my favorite books... I still have too many books on my to read list to take care of! :) Some of the classics I haven’t even got around to reading yet, such as “The Little House On The Prairie” series,or "Jane Eyre" and a few other series I started but didn’t finish. But, I think the only book I've read three or four times was "Once Upon A Marigold" by Jean Ferris. And it's sequel, "Twice Upon A Marigold" they are like a classic fairy tale but comedy mixed together. It's been a while since I looked at your blog! To think, I almost missed the chance to join in this fun little discussion!

Second Grade, I'm gonna go with Charlotte's Web. I still have my original copy of it.
In third grade, my most favorite book of all time was Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.
In Fourth, it was Where the Red Fern Grows (I think I read it like 5 times between 3rd and 4th grade).
In Middle school, the entire Animorphs series. (You are free to judge me.)
Timelessly: The Narnia books, and Phantom Tollbooth. And the Hobbit.
